Comptroller Franchot will begin his day with a tour of the Forest Park Senior Center in Baltimore with Joe Aston, the center’s president, and Colonel Lloyd Hollaway, operations chief. The non-profit is a minority-owned recreational and social organization working to enhance the health and well-being of senior citizens in Baltimore. While there, the Comptroller will meet and speak with center members.
Next, the Comptroller will visit SoBotanical Apothecary & Aromatherapy, where he will present a proclamation to founder and owner, Theresa Cangialosi. SoBotanical offers an extensive collection of essential oil, natural skin and body care products. All products are hand-crafted in small batches at its warehouse to help customers find a path to inner and outer healing.
Mr. Franchot will conclude his stops at the Hampden Family Center, which has served as a hub for community activities for 25 years. He will present a proclamation to Executive Director Ashley Wilkes. The center provides a variety of programs and support services, including exercise classes, an after-school program, counseling, case management and support groups.
