Comptroller Franchot will stop by the Boulevard Diner in Dundalk on Friday afternoon to present a proclamation to owners Marc Tsakiris and Emmanuel Fourtinakis in recognition of serving delicious Greek family favorites and traditional diner fare to locals and out-of-towners for more than 20 years.
Afterwards, the Comptroller will visit Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company to pay tribute to the men and women – past and present – who have served the citizens of Dundalk since 1942. He'll present a proclamation to Fire Chief Scott Still in honor of the company's 80th anniversary and praise their connection to the community, which includes the annual construction of the Christmas train garden, a company tradition since 1981 that attracts up to 50,000 visitors per year.
