Comptroller Franchot will kick off the annual Shop Maryland and Save for the Holidays campaign with a news conference today at the Berwyn Heights branch of the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) of Maryland.
Leaders from MD/DC Credit Union Association and SECU will join local elected officials and the Comptroller to highlight the need to support local businesses financially impacted by the pandemic.
This year's campaign once again will feature a wealth of savings and incentives for members of participating credit unions who shop locally. SECU also celebrates their 70th Anniversary this year.
Immediately following the news conference, Comptroller Franchot will join Sarah Price from the Maryland Retailers Association at College Park Bicycles, to present new owner, Marden Timen, with a proclamation and to promote shopping locally.
