Comptroller Franchot will kick off the annual Shop Maryland and Save for the Holidays campaign with a press conference at the Berwyn Heights branch of the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) of Maryland.
Leaders from MD/DC Credit Union Association and SECU will join local elected officials and the Comptroller to highlight the need to support local businesses in our recovery from the financial impact of the pandemic.
This year's campaign once again will feature a wealth of savings and incentives for members of participating credit unions who shop locally. SECU also celebrates their 70th Anniversary this year.
Immediately following the press conference, Comptroller Franchot will join Sarah Price from the Maryland Retailers Association at College Park Bicycles, where he will present new owner, Marden Timen, with a proclamation and promote shopping locally.
