Comptroller's Branch Offices to Return to Appointment-Only Visits
Change effective October 4; Virtual appointments still available
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (October 1, 2021) — Comptroller Peter Franchot today announced that all 12 agency branch offices will return to appointment-only visits, beginning Monday, October 4. The decision to temporarily suspend walk-in services will help keep the public and employees safe from the continued threat of COVID-19.
To find a branch office, visit www.marylandtaxes.gov and click on “Locations.” We continue to offer virtual appointments, which can be scheduled through the agency website.
Taxpayer assistance also is available via email at taxhelp@marylandtaxes.gov or by calling 1-800-MD-TAXES weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“Whether in person or virtually, we pledge to continue to provide the same first-class customer service that taxpayers expect from the Maryland Comptroller’s Office.” Comptroller Franchot said.
