Comptroller Franchot to march in St. Patrick's Day Parade in Annapolis 

Parade features more than 100 elements, one of largest parades of year in state capital

WHAT:

Mr. Franchot will participate in the 8th annual celebration of Irish Heritage when he strolls alongside Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley, Grand Marshal Joe McGovern of Stan & Joe's Saloon, and other dignitaries in the Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade starts at Maryland Hall where bagpipers, Irish dancers and 100 floats will begin their procession along the parade route, culminating from Westgate Circle on West Street and ending at City Dock. This year's parade benefits Warrior Events and the Annapolis Police Foundation.
