Franchot To Recognize Charles County Children's Aid Society's 85 Years of Help and Hope on Monday

Comptroller Franchot will present a proclamation this afternoon to Charles County Children’s Aid Society in Waldorf honoring its 85th year of helping the county's most vulnerable residents. He will tour the facility with Executive Director Danielle Wilmoth to learn about the programs and services offered to more than 30,000 residents annually, including the ongoing Christmas Toy Connection.
Mr. Franchot then will visit Galleria Salon & Spa as part of his annual Shop Maryland for the Holidays tour and to present a proclamation to owner Pam Roberts. Founded in 1976 as a small hair salon, the business has grown to become the largest locally-owned salon and day spa in Southern Maryland with a staff of 40.
