Carroll County Master Plan 2035: What is Next?

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to one of the Master Plan Open Houses during February and early March! We received over 200 comments on what people value, what they are concerned about, and ideas they think should be considered as part of the Master Plan update.

This input will feed into the next exciting phase of Master Plan work: developing specific recommendations that could address issues around housing, the economy, and agriculture. Three work groups are being formed to advise the Planning & Zoning Commission in these areas - and we need YOUR HELP to make sure their work reflects you and your community!

Do you want to help guide County efforts to promote the long-term viability of agriculture and the rural communities that make Carroll special? The Agriculture Work Group might be the right group for you!

Are you interested in exploring ways to grow economic opportunities in Carroll County to enhance the tax base, create jobs, and support the services and amenities we all enjoy? The Economy Work Group would be a great fit!

You don’t need to be an expert to be part of the conversation, but you DO need to be able to attend all or nearly all the meetings!

All meetings will take place in person at the County Office Building (225 N. Center Street, Westminster) in the Reagan Room (Room 003) on the following dates:
