Carroll County Recreation & Parks Advisory Board Opening
Westminster, MD, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 – The Carroll County Recreation & Parks Advisory Board has an upcoming vacancy and is looking for new applicants for this position. In order to maintain countywide representation on the board, there is a specific need for an applicant residing in District 1 (Taneytown/Silver Run/Manchester). Ideally, having different perspectives and backgrounds on the board contributes to new and diverse ideas, and provides valuable input with the goal of representing all residents of Carroll County.
The Advisory Board serves as a soundboard for Recreation & Parks staff, assists with the development of policies, reviews and prioritizes capital and self-help projects, and plays an active role in promoting Recreation & Parks’ efforts throughout Carroll County. The Advisory Board meets seven (7) times per year, on the 4th Wednesday of the month, with most meetings held at 7:30 pm in the County Office Building in Westminster.
