Important information for individuals 65 and older regarding the COVID-19 Vaccine in Carroll County, MD

You are receiving this email because you registered for the COVID-19 vaccine interest list with the Carroll County Health Department, in the 65-74-year-old group. We are now able to offer appointments for vaccination for Carroll County residents 65+.

We have not been able to take everyone who has been vaccinated off of our list yet. We are working on this. If you were vaccinated at another location (mass site, pharmacy, doctor, etc.), and have not already let us know, please complete this short form.

This email contains instructions to register for your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Carroll County Health Department clinics. This is not for 2nd doses. You should receive an email to schedule your 2nd dose.

Please do not share this email with others. We are currently only registering people 65+ who live in Carroll County for this clinic. If you are not able to register for one of the clinics below, please watch your email for additional opportunities soon.

Please read ALL instructions to ensure you are able to register correctly.

People who are not in the target group for this clinic (Carroll County residents 65+) will have their appointments cancelled. If there is space remaining, some residents 60-64 may be invited to register.

You may now register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at one of the clinics listed below. Please note, some clinics offer Pfizer, and others offer Moderna. We do not have any Johnson and Johnson vaccine at this time.

Online registration is required for these clinics. If you need assistance, please call our call center at 410-876-4848. Open Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. 

To register:

  • Click the link for the clinic you would like.
  • Choose a time and click continue.
  • Please complete only the required fields on each page, marked by a red star.
  • You will receive a confirmation email if you put an email address in your registration. However, it may take several hours. Make sure you write down your appointment time and location.

The day of your appointment:

  • Please bring your government-issued photo ID.
  • If you do not have an appropriate ID, you will notbe vaccinated.    
  • The clinic will take place inside with proper social distancing.
  • You must wear a face mask over your mouth and nose at all times.
  • There will be seats available. You will have to walk but you will be able to sit while waiting your turn and receiving your shot.
  • You may bring one person with you to help you if you need assistance.
  • You will have to wait for 15 minutes in a socially-distanced seating area after receiving the vaccine to be monitored for any adverse reactions.

You will receive a follow up email or phone call with a link to schedule your second dose, about a week to 10 days before your next vaccination should be (21 days after the first shot for Pfizer, 28 days for Moderna).
