2020 Drive-Thru Flu Immunization Clinics to be Held at Carroll County Senior & Community Centers
Westminster, MD, Friday, October 2, 2020 – Carroll County Bureau of Aging & Disabilities, together with the Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County’s Healthy Aging Leadership Team and Finksburg Pharmacy, will offer Drive-Thru Flu Immunization Clinics at all five senior and community centers. An informational flyer is available on the county’s website. With a finite supply of vaccines available each day and unknown demand, the event will provide services to as many people possible on a first-come first-served basis.
For best protection throughout the flu season, dates and times have been scheduled after October 1st. Anyone over the age of 9 may visit one of the senior centers on the following dates/times to be immunized:
Monday, October 5th 9 am - 12 noon
North Carroll Senior & Community Center – 2328 Hanover Pike – Hampstead, MD
Tuesday, October 6th 9 am - 12 noon
Mt. Airy Senior & Community Center - 703 Ridge Avenue - Mt. Airy, MD 21771
Wednesday, October 7th 9 am - 12 noon
South Carroll Senior & Community Center – 5928 Mineral Hill Road – Eldersburg, MD
Thursday, October 8th 9 am – 12 noon
Taneytown Senior & Community Center – 220 Roberts Mill Road – Taneytown, MD
Friday, October 9th 9 am - 12 noon
Westminster Senior & Community Center – 125 Stoner Avenue – Westminster, MD

- Masks are required
- Have your Medicare and/or insurance cards ready
- All participants will be asked to stay for 15 minutes after the vaccination - to monitor for possible reactions
- All participants between the ages of 9 and 17 must be accompanied by a legal guardian
This year’s vaccine provides protection against:
• A/Guangdong-Maonan/SWL1536/2019 (H1N1) pdm09-like virus;
• A/HongKong/2671/2019 (H3N2)-like virus;
• B/Washington/02/2019- like virus (B/Victoria lineage);
• B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus (B/Yamagata lineage)
Flu Vaccine Billing
- Medicare Part B accepted. Please bring your new Medicare Card with you.
- If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, please provide your Part D insurance card for possible coverage.
- BlueCross Carefirst Medical billing accepted.
- Private insurance accepted for prescription plans that cover the flu vaccine.
- Uninsured/Not-Covered patient pays $25.00 CASH OR CHECK ONLY
