Groundbreaking of
South Carroll Dog Park
Westminster, MD, Friday, October 4, 2019- On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks and the Friends of South Carroll Dog Park will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking at 12:30 pm at the South Carroll Senior & Community Center, located at 5928 Mineral Hill Road in Eldersburg.
The groundbreaking will be just one of the events scheduled that day which includes the 2nd Annual Puppy PAWrade at 2 pm. Activities will begin at 8 am with the “No Fleas Please!” flea market, operating until 12 noon. Food trucks will be on site from 8 am to 3 pm, music by Sunday Night Big Band from 1-2 pm, followed by the Puppy Costume PAWrade.
Successful fundraising has reached a level where park construction can begin this fall; however, additional funds are needed to support the park opening, planned for spring of 2020.
