Westminster, MD, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 - Carroll County flags will be flown at half-staff to honor the passing of former Carroll County Commissioner Dave Roush, who passed away on August 27, 2019.  Roush served as county commissioner from 2010-2014 and actively served as a member on the Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals until his passing.

Along with service as a commissioner, Mr. Roush was a local business and community leader for many years. He also worked with the Carroll County Economic Development Commission, Historical Society, Carroll Community College Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, Westminster Rotary Club, Community Foundation of Carroll County and Rape Crisis Intervention Service.

“On behalf of the Carroll County Board of Commissioners, we mourn the passing of a great leader in our community, former Commissioner Roush. We extend our sincere appreciation for his many years of service to the county and community and send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his family,” said Commissioner Board President Stephen Wantz, “Lowering the flags to half-staff commemorates and honors his life and service.”
