Park & Recreation Month July, 2019
Thursday, June 27, 2019- Today in open session, the Board of County Commissioners proclaimed July 2019 at Park and Recreation Month.
Parks and recreation programs are an integral part of communities throughout this country, including Carroll County, Maryland. Our parks and recreation are vitally important to the quality of life in our communities, supporting the health of citizens, and contributing to the economic and environmental well-being of the community. These programs support a community’s economic prosperity through increased property values, expansion of the local tax base, increased tourism, and the attraction and retention of businesses.
There will be events in county parks through out the month of July. Make sure to get outdoors and enjoy all of our great parks.
