 Martz Road Water Tank
Rehabilitation Scheduled
June 15,
2018 - Eldersburg, MD - Carroll County Bureau
of Utilities will be performing system upgrades and rehabilitation to the Martz
Road Water Tank, located on 731 Martz Road, Eldersburg, Md. Martz Water Tank will be off-line for
approximately five (5) weeks beginning Thursday June 21st 2018 for
the first phase of this project. The
remaining phases to finish the project will not require the Martz Water Tank to
be off-line.
During this time period residents may experience
lower water pressure than normal. In
addition, conservation of water would be much appreciated and helpful for the
duration of the off-line period.
Once full service is restored residents may
experience cloudy water lasting up to an hour.
Turning the cold water tap on and running water for several minutes will
clear the lines. It is advisable to
refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines,
dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
It is our Bureau’s intention to keep the
off-line period shorter than five (5) weeks, weather permitting. We thank you for your cooperation and patience while this operation
is performed. Please contact our office
Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at 410-386-2164 if you have
any questions.
