Carroll County Department of Public Works Road Construction Schedule for Week of September 4, 2017 

The Carroll County Department of Public Works advises drivers to allow extra time when traveling through construction work zones. Drivers may experience traffic delays and lanes closures with flagging operations. We appreciate the public’s cooperation and patience with any traffic delays as construction and rehabilitation continues on the County’s road and bridges.

Haight Avenue Water Line Repairs Scheduled

Eldersburg, MD, August 30, 2017 – The Carroll County Bureau of Utilities is scheduled to shut down water service on Wednesday, September 6th to approximately 16 homes on Haight Avenue and one home on Oakland Road to repair two leaking service lines. Service will be shut off starting at approximately 8 am and is expected to be restored by 4 pm barring any unforeseen circumstances. Once full service is restored residents may experience cloudy water lasting up to an hour. Turning the cold water tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. It is advisable to refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
