Bus operators needed to transport passengers around the downtown Baltimore area.  Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and have two years of driving experience with a passenger endorsement and the ability to drive with air brakes.  If considered, applicants should provide a complete certified driving record no more than 30 days old from the date of application and a valid DOT physical.  This position is contingent on successfully passing a DOT drug screen and background check.

Similar to a correctional officer, will maintain house security, monitor movement of inmates, monitor leave schedules, take house counts at random and as directed, sign inmates in and out of facility for work release, family leaves, medical appointments, hearings, etc.  Transport inmates to and from institutions of greater security, administer drug and alcohol tests (Males only-collect urine) and do assigned paperwork.

 

High school diploma, some college desired.  At least one year of experience working with incarcerated persons is preferred.  Must be able to supervise groups of adult males.  Writing and verbal skills are necessary.  Valid Maryland driver’s license is required with no points.  Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation and a drug test.  $12.00 per hour with salary increases based upon adequate funding.  YOU MUST PROVIDE THESE DOCUMENTS:  HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED, BIRTH CERTIFICATE, SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, AND A VALID MARYLAND’S DRIVER’S LICENSE.
