The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the road closures in effect for Halloween celebrations in Fells Point.
In preparation for the festivities, all roadways south of Aliceanna Street between S. Caroline and S. Wolfe Streets will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 until approximately 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 01, 2014.
In addition, parking restrictions will be implemented along the following roadways from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 01, 2014:
Thames Street from Caroline to Wolfe Streets
Broadway from Aliceanna to Thames Streets
Additional streets in the vicinity may be blocked if necessary; however Aliceanna, Caroline and Wolfe Streets will remain open for motorists entering and leaving the area.
Due to the large volume of patrons expected to celebrate in Fells Point on Halloween, on-street parking will be very limited. Citizens are strongly encouraged to use local parking garages. Motorists should adhere to posted parking restrictions, as vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed.
Fells Point residents may contact their community association to obtain parking vouchers for the following garages:
Caroline Street Garage – 805 S. Caroline Street
Fleet and Eden Garage – 501 Eden Street
Please note that residents must remove their vehicles from these garages by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 01, 2014.
During the celebrations on Halloween night, cab stands will be available at the corner of Caroline and Thames Streets, and at Wolfe and Thames Streets. Additionally, the Charm City Circulator will operate until 12:00 midnight on Friday. Citizens may log onto www.charmcitycirculator.com for additional information.
