Mayor Rawlings-Blake Joins Baltimore’s Youth for
MJ’s Thriller Reenactment

BACKGROUND:  Michael Jackson’s 1980s hit “Thriller” will be resurrected on Halloween night by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young, Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke, Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks’ Ernest W. Burkeen, and approximately 70-100 of Baltimore’s youth.

The youth, ranging from preschoolers to preteens, will gather for Rec and Parks’ Booo Bash, a free event, which will allow them to make spooky jewelry, create creepy snacks, and engage in the Thriller performance at the Rita R. Church Community Center at Clifton Park starting at 4:30 p.m. The Thriller rehearsal and dance will start at 5 p.m.

Baltimore’s youth also may pick up the FREE Trick-or-Treat safety bags and learn Halloween safety tips at the city’s recreation centers and special facilities.
