Port to Fort 6K Family Run/Walk

 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Port to Fort 6K Family Run/Walk which will be held on Sunday, May 05, 2013 starting at 8:00 a.m.

 

The event will begin at the intersection of Lawrence Street and Fort Avenue. Participants will proceed left on Fort Avenue and will follow Fort Avenue into Fort McHenry. Runners will complete a lap inside Ft. McHenry and will exit the fort heading westbound on Fort Avenue. Participants will turn right on Jackson Street, right on E. Clement Street, right on Key Highway and left into the Baltimore Museum of Industry to finish.

 

In preparation for the event, Fort Avenue will be closed between Lawrence Street and Ft. McHenry on Sunday, May 05, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. In addition, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.

 

Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
