Flower Mart to be Held in Mount Vernon 

 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications which will be in effect for Flower Mart. The event will take place on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each day in the heart of Mount Vernon.

 

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 02, 2013 until 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 05, 2013:

 

• Charles Street from Centre to Read Streets 
• Madison Street from St. Paul to Cathedral Streets
• Mt. Vernon Place from Cathedral to St. Paul Streets

 

In addition, parking will be restricted in these areas from 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 02, 2013 until 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 05, 2013.

 

Variable message signs will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the closures and Special Traffic Enforcement Officers (STEO’s) will be posted at critical locations to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
