BALTIMORE—Today,  the Baltimore City Council's Public Safety Committee will hold hearings for three pieces of Legislative Oversight legislation referred to the Baltimore Police Department. LO13-0051 requests that Baltimore Police Department report to the committee on the recent violence in Baltimore, as homicides are up 16 percent versus last year according to Baltimore Police Data.  LO13-0050 requests that the Baltimore Police Department report to the committee on its case clearance rates for homicides and non fatal shootings.
