| Statement from Baltimore City Solicitor George Nilson Regarding the Baltimore Sun | ||

BALTIMORE, MD. (June 21, 2012) – “Today, the Baltimore Sun published a front page story independently reporting that Voice over Internet Protocol (‘VoIP’) devices were purchased by the City of Baltimore under a ‘no-bid’ contract. This is false. The contract in question was indeed competitively bid and received a total of 16 bidders. Despite being provided with documents verifying these facts days ago, the Baltimore Sun chose to falsely report that the contract was ‘no-bid.’ The Rawlings-Blake administration has respectfully requested that the Baltimore Sun publish a full retraction of this false reporting.” ###
