Baltimore Police Make Arrest in Craigslist Robberies


Suspect David Brown was apprehended while using computer in Public Library


Baltimore, MD / May 27, 2012 - Baltimore Police Detectives have made an arrest in connection with a series of street robberies that were being organized on the internet commerce site, Craigslist. 26 year old David Brown was apprehended at a City Library by members of the Baltimore Police Warrant Apprehension Task Foorce today around 1130am. Brown was using a public computer when he was taken into custody. 


He is accused of orchestrating at least 4 robberies which took place in the 3500 block of Callaway Avenue in Northwest Baltimore. He allegedly used the internet site to lure victims and rob them of cash and valuables. Detectives are currently interviewing Mr. Brown to determine if he was involved in any other incidents. Criminal charges are pending.
