Mayor Brandon M. Scott Appoints T.J. Mayotte as Chief Information Officer
BALTIMORE, MD (Thursday, March 12, 2026) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott announced a new appointment to city leadership. Beginning March 16, 2026, T.J. Mayotte will assume the position of Chief Information Officer.
"I’m excited to have T.J. join my administration at such an important time for our city, as we continue to invest in digital equity and explore cutting-edge technology solutions to improve service delivery for our residents,” said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. “T.J. is an innovator and a cybersecurity expert who brings years of experience to this role. We’re grateful to have him leading the incredible team in our Information Technology Office as they continue to embody innovation and service.”
The Baltimore City Information Technology Office builds and manages the technologies that help City agencies, communities, and businesses do their jobs safely and effectively. They also manage key digital equity initiatives that expand access to digital skills training, free wifi, and technology for residents across the city.
T.J. Mayotte
T.J. Mayotte is a technology and cybersecurity executive with over 20 years of experience leading high-impact digital transformations across the public and private sectors. He comes to this role from Howard County, where he served as the Chief Information Officer, managing a $57 million budget and a team of 100 technology professionals. Prior to that role, he served as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Anne Arundel County. He has also held senior leadership roles at Synchrony, Capital One, and HealthEquity, where he led strategic security governance and achieved FedRAMP certification for critical customer environments.
Mayotte is a proud public servant and veteran. He holds a Master of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross.
