Executive Letter: Gratitude & Reflections
Dear Baltimore,
The spring season is off to a great start, and we have much to be grateful for. Recently, I attended the CSH Supportive Housing Summit, where I was able to connect with partners, providers, and colleagues as we all continue to support one another in our work to eliminate homelessness. Later in the month, MOHS staff also volunteered with Mayor Brandon M. Scott, city employees, and city residents in a day of service to help promote clean and healthy communities across Baltimore, and I am thankful for their dedication and service. Finally, I want to thank Councilman Torrence and the members of our City Council for providing an opportunity for our CoC leadership and providers to share updates on our progress and shed light on the challenges we face in working to achieve our goal of making homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in Baltimore City. If you missed it, please take a moment to watch the playback of the hearing.
In service, Ernestina Simmons, LCSW-C Executive Director
