Forecast Builder Workshop For Business Owners Webinar hosted by Maryland Small Business Development Center Monday, September 9, 2024 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
A lot of business owners do not manage their business using an Operating Budget. Here are five common reasons: 1. Budgets can feel restrictive. 2. It takes too much work (and guesswork). 3. They have never done one and don’t know where to begin. 4. They don’t know how a budget will help them, so why bother. 5. They want to get better at finance, but feel somewhat intimated by the entire process. Well, you don’t have to be a CFO or Accountant to create consistent cash flow (and take a decent paycheck)… …and a Budget is the first key step in the process (aka a “Profit Plan”). In 90 minutes, we’ll show you how to use your historic data to build your 2023 Profit Plan and enhance your confidence in managing your business by the numbers. Presenter, Patrick Shurney, 3P Consulting.

Following his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2007, former NFL player O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda created the Brigance Brigade Foundation (BBF) to equip, encourage and empower people living with ALS. The Brigance Foundation cultivates a caring community, demands dignity for all, and actively works to create a lasting, positive impact to realize a world where people living with ALS thrive with purpose and passion. Fast forward 16 years, the Foundation has helped hundreds of families living with ALS have better access to caregiving services, equipment, and in-home accessibility. We hear every day from our member companies—of every size and industry, across nearly every county—that they’re facing unprecedented challenges trying to find enough workers to fill open jobs. Right now, the latest data shows that we have 8.1 million job openings in the U.S. but only 6.8 million unemployed workers.
We have a lot of jobs but not enough workers to fill them. If every unemployed person in the country found a job, we would still have millions of open jobs.
Join us for a dynamic conversation exploring the challenges and opportunities shaping today's workforce. Gain valuable insights from industry leaders, policymakers, and workforce experts as they share their perspectives on talent acquisition, development, and retention. Don't miss this chance to network with peers and discover strategies to thrive in an evolving business landscape.
