The mission of the Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services (MOHS) is to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in Baltimore City. We believe that homelessness is both solvable and preventable.
MOHS Welcomes New Chief of Staff, Roland!

National Night Out
On August 1, 2023, MOHS celebrated with residents from LaBurt Improvement Community Association, Rosemont, and Park Heights during National Night Out. We had a great time connecting with community members and seeing how we can work together to support our most vulnerable neighbors.

YouthWorkers at Camp St. Vincent support children impacted by homelessness
Camp St. Vincent (CSV) is the only summer camp in the region that serves children impacted by homelessness. MOHS sat down for a chat with the YouthWorkers at Camp St. Vincent this Summer to hear about their experience.

Laurence is a Baltimore Native and was named the first African-American artist-in-residence in the State of Maryland in 1976. He first experienced homelessness after losing employment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time we spoke, Laurence was in temporary housing and seeking permanent supportive housing through Project PLASE, Inc.
