What to Expect for BIG TRUCK DAY 2021! It’s a SOLD OUT Event! Timed tickets Needed for Entrance!
BIG TRUCK DAY still equals BIG FUN for kids (both big and small)! However, those attending the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Big Truck Day event on Saturday, May 22 will notice a few changes in the fun-filled annual event due to COVID-19.
“We had to change Big Truck Day a little to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, especially our little ones. However, I am proud to say that DPW’s Big Truck Day still offers the biggest display of big trucks in town,” said Acting DPW Director Jason W. Mitchell.
This immensely popular free community event features vehicles from the Baltimore City Departments of Public Works, General Services, Recreation and Parks, Police, and Fire.
Mayor Brandon Scott will join Acting Director Mitchell to close out Big Truck Day with a parade of trucks!
This event will strictly follow health and safety protocols. Masks are required and social distancing will be required.
What to Expect:
- To enter the event site, attendees must have registered and received free tickets from Eventbrite. (Tickets are sold out; Eventbrite registration is now closed).
- Attendees must enter and exit event site according to their timed tickets.
- Face masks must be worn throughout the event for children and adults ages 5 & up.
- This is a “no touch” event. Families can take pictures with the trucks, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, Big Truck Day attendees will not be able to touch or sit in the trucks this year!
- No food or other vendors will be on site.
- Due to the event, recreational activities will be limited at Lake Montebello as a portion of the Lake will be blocked off.
