Suspect Identified in Police Shooting

 

Baltimore, MD / January 31, 2012 - Baltimore Police have formally identified the suspect in this morning's police-involved shooting as 26 year old Monpeet Chona of Baltimore (DOB - 3/27/1985). Chona was shot by officers from Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County during a confrontation which originated from an attempted car stop on the Baltimore Beltway and ended up in the City’s south end. 

Units from several jurisdictions were involved in apprehending the suspect and detectives from the City and County police departments are continuing to investigate.
