Just a quick update from the Parking Authority about the Ridgely’s Delight Parking Area.
Area 5 Permits Do Not Need to Be Renewed in June
Due the current Stay at Home Order, Residential Permit Parking (RPP) is not being enforced, the Parking Authority office is closed to customers, and Virtual Permit Parking (VPP) has been delayed. You do not need to renew your Area 5 permit or guest pass until you are specifically told to do so. When RPP enforcement and permit renewals begin again, we will send out an email alert.
Virtual Permit Delay
PABC has been working with Ridgely's Delight to try a new system that replaces physical permits with virtual ones for its upcoming June renewal, but we need to delay this pilot program. We are working directly with your parking committee so we can launch a Virtual Permit Parking option pilot for you as soon as we can do so.
Next Steps
When our office reopens, our office must be thoroughly cleaned. Then, the eight neighborhoods that were unable to renew their permits due to the Shelter-in-Place order must purchase and obtain their permits. After these eight areas have renewed, we will renew Ridgley's permits using the new system.
New Contactless System
When permit sales and enforcement are back in place, we will provide you with a no less than 30-day grace period to allow you time to go online and use our new virtual permit software to purchase your new permits and guest passes. The new system will be entirely online, allowing you to apply for your permits and guest passes, upload your required documentation and purchase your permits and guest passes. This can also be done over the phone. There will be no need to visit our office.
