Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young, Department of Transportation Announce Charm City Circulator Face Covering Requirement

Mayor Young, DOT take steps to protect residents traveling to and from essential jobs, tasks while on public transit

BALTIMORE, MD.  — Today, the Department of Transportation announced Charm City Circulator passengers would need to wear face coverings beginning on Saturday, April 18. Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young issued the following statement:

“Taking this step helps protect people getting to work and performing essential errands while using public transit,” Mayor Young said.

Beginning on Saturday, April 18, 2020 all Charm City Circulator passengers are required to wear face coverings.  All riders must wear face coverings prior to boarding any bus, and face coverings MUST stay on for the duration of the trip.

This action supports Governor Hogan's Executive Order Number 20-04-15-01 and Mayor Young’s Executive Order advising all residents of Baltimore City to wear cloth masks or other facial coverings, as defined by the CDC, when out in the community and especially when social distancing measures are not possible.
