Mayor Pugh Announces Community Engagement Schedule for Commissioner-Designate Michael S. Harrison

BALTIMORE, MD.  — Mayor Catherine E. Pugh, today, announced the confirmed schedule of meeting opportunities between the community and her choice for the next Baltimore Police Department Commissioner, Michael S. Harrison.  The meetings will take place in each of the nine police districts beginning on Monday, February 11 at 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. in the Northwest District at Forest Park High School.  Neighborhood residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage on issues important to their communities and the City of Baltimore.

Commissioner-designate Harrison will assume the role of Acting Commissioner effective Monday, February 11, 2019, the same day that Mayor Pugh will formally submit his nomination to the Executive Appointments Committee of the Baltimore City Council.  On Monday, March 4, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., the Executive Appointments Committee will hold a hearing on the nomination.  All community meetings are open to the public, regardless of neighborhood residency.
