Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore City Y Turkey Trot
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications for the 6th annual Baltimore City Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K. The event will be held on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 22, 2018 starting at 8:30 a.m.
The race will start on the west side of the Stadium Place Loop and participants will complete the southwest quarter of the loop. Runners will exit the loop and proceed to 33rd Street, then turn left onto the westbound lane of E. 33rd Street and run against the flow of traffic. Participants will follow E. 33rd Street to enter the Lake Montebello loop and run clockwise around the lake. Runners will exit onto E. 33rd Street running with the flow of traffic and turn right towards the Stadium Place loop to finish.
In preparation for the event, the north side of E. 33rd Street will be closed between Ellerslie Avenue to Lake Montebello on Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with detours in effect. Motorists should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of the participants. Citizens should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Baltimore City Police & Traffic Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the route to facilitate the movement of traffic.
