Join us to celebrate America Recycles Day! America Recycles Day is a Keep America Beautiful initiative and takes place each November. To celebrate, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works is having a recycling bin sale and plastic bag takeback! The yellow recycling bins will be available at discounted rates: 25-gallon bin with lid for $10 and the 18-gallon bin for $4. We only accept cash or check for recycle bin sales. Residents that bring us five (5!) or more plastic bags to be recycled will receive a reusable bag in exchange (limit one reusable bag per resident)!

You can use anything to hold your recyclables, except for plastic bags! If you use plastic bags to collect you recyclables, please be sure to empty the contents into a bin, paper bag, cardboard box, or other marked container before setting it out for collection. Find where to recycle plastic bags
The bright yellow Baltimore City recycling bins are NOT needed to recycle! Place any labeled container (except plastic bags) out for recycling collection. The Office of Recycling offers free stickers to label your bin. Call us at (410) 396-4511 to request a sticker.
