On Saturday, Feb. 10, Baltimore residents can purchase the 25-gallon bins for $7; smaller 18-gallon bins are just $4, and lids for the large containers are just $3.The bin sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Langston Hughes Community Action Center, 5011 Arbutus Ave., Baltimore, Md. 21215.
Recycling benefits our environment and our city, and it is easy to do. So this Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to recycle your cards, gift boxes and your celebratory beverage bottles and cans. Our February issue of the ReNews newsletter lists several tips for ensuring a sustainable day of love.
As a reminder, residents do not need City-issued recycling bins to recycle. Paper bags, cardboard or plastic boxes and trash cans, labeled “recycling,” are all acceptable containers. Please do not use plastic bags for recycling.
