  Two-Alarm Fire in South Baltimore Claims the Life of an Adult Male

Tuesday, January 9, 2018 – (Baltimore, MD) – On Monday, January 8, just after 6:30 p.m., Baltimore City firefighters were dispatched to the 3700 block of S. Hanover Street for a fire. 

Upon arrival, firefighter's encountered heavy fire conditions from a two-story occupied, middle of group dwelling and immediately the Incident Commander requested a 2nd-Alarm. During their primary search, firefighters located the body of an adult male on the second floor rear of the dwelling.  

The adult male was pronounced dead at the scene and the cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner's Office. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
