Dear Leaders,
The Mayor has ordered that we enter stage III of the Snow Emergency Plan. Please see below for more information. In addition please see the weather and power outage info below. If you have not seen snow removal crews remain patient and report it to 311. They will get to you but we have a long way to go. Remember please dial 911 for any emergencies and if you should lose power please report it to BGE at 1-877-778-2222. Please stay in and be safe!

Forecast
Current temps 27 degrees and the surface temperature 22-28 degrees . Precipitation continues to fall at a rate of about 1" per hour. Heaviest snow should taper off at around 9 pm and ending by midnight tonight. Currently, winds are NW 25-30 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Low tonight 18 degrees. High tomorrow 33 degrees w/sunny skies. Approximately 20" accumulation as of 4:00 pm with an addition 2-4" possible by storms end.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake orders PHASE III of the City’s Snow Emergency Plan to be Implemented
Only City Authorized Emergency Vehicles Allowed on Roadways

BALTIMORE, MD (January 23, 2016) – With the worsening winter storm, Mayor Rawlings-Blake has implemented Phase III of Baltimore City's Snow Emergency Plan beginning at6:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016.
The Phase III designation means that ONLY authorized emergency vehicles are permitted on Baltimore City roadways. This includes police, fire, ambulance, snow plows and BGE emergency response vehicles. All hospitals should keep all staff in place for the duration of Phase III.
This designation comes amid increasing difficulties traveling the roads and poor visibility, and many four-wheel drive vehicles are getting stuck. The Phase III designation is currently planned to expire at 6 a.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016. But if conditions warrant, the designation may be extended.
