The Maryland Alcohol, Tobacco and Cannabis Commission (ATCC) is excited to announce that the agency has updated its official format and method of transmitting new and renewed alcohol and tobacco licenses and permits.
Effective May 1, 2025, new and renewed licenses and permits will be emailed to the address on file. The license and permit certificates have been enhanced to take advantage of the convenience and efficiency of this new method.
License and permit holders may carry the certificate electronically or physically at their convenience. All certificates are still required to be presented upon demand and license certificates must be displayed on the licensed premises.
This step is an important part of our modernization process, which will include the ability to submit applications and payments through the Maryland OneStop licensing portal. The ATCC is currently gathering complete and accurate email addresses for all current license and permit holders. Unless you have already submitted this information during the recent renewal process, please submit this form to ensure that we have complete and accurate emails for all accounts.
When choosing the best email for the license communications that you will receive from the ATCC, such as renewals and approval documents, we recommend that you use a shared or general email account (ex: licensing@ yourcompanyemail.com or compliance@ yourecompanyemail.com) that you check often.
