Job Title:   Administrative Officer II    Position Type: Regular Full Time (Real Estate Administrative and Paralegal Support)

Location:  Office of the Attorney General, State Highway Administration   707 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD  21202

Description:  The Office of the Attorney General, State Highway Administration is seeking applicants for an Administrative Officer II to provide real estate related administrative and paralegal support. The position:  reviews and researches records (including title reports, deeds, deeds of trust, plats, land records, leases, contracts, SDAT records, and other public records) to determine ownership, liens, and other interests in real property; reads and understands right of way plats; and identifies issues that must be resolved in connection with the acquisition or conveyance of real property.  Position duties include:  preparing the first draft of deeds, Complaints for Condemnation, Land Acquisition Petitions; maintaining and updating case and document management system and litigation files; filing papers electronically in State court; providing transactional and condemnation litigation administrative and paralegal support for several Assistant Attorneys General; and performing additional administrative duties as needed.
