Reminder: Upcoming Massachusetts Public Hearings on Striped Bass Draft Addendum III
The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries is hosting two in-person public hearings on Draft Addendum III to Amendment 7 to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass. The Draft Addendum considers management measures to support rebuilding the stock by 2029 (e.g., commercial quota cut, recreational closed seasons), and also addresses commercial tagging programs, a coastwide definition of total length for size limit regulations, and changes to the Maryland recreational season. These hearings will occur on September 25 in Woburn and September 30 in Buzzards Bay, both with listen-only webinar options (see below).
