Parking Guidelines in Dedham
To maintain the safety, accessibility, and overall appeal of our neighborhoods, your Dedham Police Department has prepared the following information to remind everyone to follow these important parking guidelines:
Avoid Parking on Sidewalks
Parking on sidewalks can obstruct pedestrian pathways, making it difficult for neighbors, especially those with strollers, wheelchairs, or mobility aids, to safely navigate our streets. Please keep the sidewalks clear!
Obey All Posted Signs
Parking signs are there to guide us and ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Make sure to follow these signs to help maintain order in our community.
Do Not Block Driveways or Crosswalks
Blocking driveways and crosswalks is not only inconvenient for your neighbors but also poses safety risks for pedestrians and drivers alike.
Educate and Remind Others
Talk with your neighbors about keeping sidewalks clear of obstructions. A simple, friendly conversation can go a long way in keeping our community orderly.
Parking violations could result in the issuance of a ticket with a fine. Most neighborhood parking violation fines range from $25 - $50.
Report Parking Issues
If you notice persistent parking problems, please report them to the Dedham Police Department. Your reports help us address issues swiftly and effectively.
Thank you for your cooperation in making our neighborhood a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
