 Sustained Support Fund: Nonprofit Grant
The Sustained Support Fund, provided by Catalyst of San Diego and Imperial Counties, offers short-term, zero-interest, recoverable grants of up to $100,000 to nonprofits, fiscally sponsored organizations, and tribal governments in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Funding supports cash flow needs while organizations await committed revenue expected within 90 days, with priority for those affected by federal funding or policy changes since January 2025.

 Request for Statement of Qualifications: Clubhouse Services
The County of San Diego is inviting qualified community organizations to submit Statements of Qualifications for the provision of Clubhouse Services, supporting recovery oriented, community based programs for individuals with behavioral health needs.
Interested organizations are encouraged to register on BUYNET to access the RFSQ and receive updates. Up to ten contracts may be awarded across the following service regions: North Coastal, North Inland, North Central, East, Central, and South.
Applications are due by 3:00 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

 Funding Forward: Strengthening Grant & Contract Success
Join us on Wednesday 4/29 9am - 11:30am for a workshop hosted by the Live Well San Diego Business Sector in collaboration with the North County Community Leadership Team. This workshop will focus on strengthening fiscal grant and contract readiness with practical tools and connections, including:
- Strategies to improve proposal development,
- Insights from experienced funders,
- Opportunities to connect with County departments around upcoming procurements,
- A BuyNet lab for businesses interested in contracting with the County.

 South County EDC: Recovery Loan Program
The South County Economic Development Council offers $10,000‑dollar recovery loans to support South County businesses investing in operational improvements, new equipment, or staff as they continue recovering from the COVID‑19 pandemic. Loans feature a 48‑month term, with no interest charged if repaid within the first 12 months; remaining balances after one year are financed over 36 months at a 5 percent interest rate.

 Community Enhancement Grant
The County of San Diego provides funding through the Community Enhancement Program to support nonprofit organizations and public agencies that stimulate tourism, promote the local economy, create jobs, and enhance quality of life.

Kitchens for Good Microenterprise (ME) Program
Kitchens for Good’s ME program accepts early-stage food entrepreneurs in San Diego, focusing on those who have experienced barriers to accessing the resources and support needed to start their small business, including:
- Catering Businesses
- Food Product Developers
- Food Vendors

 Spaces as Places Outdoor Business Grant
The City of San Diego’s Economic Development Department is offering grants of up to $20,000 to help eligible businesses expand operations outdoors through the Spaces as Places program. Funding supports the creation of outdoor dining and community gathering spaces in the public right-of-way, with priority given to businesses located in underserved communities.

 Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development division provides funding through the Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program to support essential community facilities in rural areas. Eligible applicants include public bodies, community-based nonprofits, and Federally Recognized Tribes serving communities with 20,000 or fewer residents.

 California STEP Program
The California State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) provides funding to help small businesses expand into global markets by increasing the number of California exporters and the volume of goods and services they trade. Eligible businesses may participate in up to two trade events per fiscal year and receive up to 75% reimbursement (up to $10,000) for approved export-related expenses.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and each STEP event has its own registration deadline. Learn more and apply through the STEP webpage.

 Businesses can now request additional information and resources, including presentations, about Knowing Your Rights and Responsibilities During Federal Immigration Enforcement Actions through the County of San Diego Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement.
