YOUTH SECTOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

BE WiSE Program

Better Education for Women in Science and Engineering (BE WiSE) is a free Fleet Science Center program for female and female-identifying 7th and 8th graders in San Diego County. The program offers workshops held throughout the year both virtually and at Fleet. Applications close March 20th, 2026!

Hope & Justice Art Contest Prompt: Call for Original Music

Create and record an original song inspired by the uplifting power of music and the importance of mental health for Hope & Justice's Art Contest Prompt. Entries are due by March 31st, 2026!

Scholars Forward Foundation Scholarship

High school students living in underserved communities in San Diego have the opportunity to apply for scholarships ranging from $500-$1,000! Applications are due May 15th, 2026 at 5PM or when 30 applications are received.

Pathways to Public Health Summer Workshops

Students in 9th-11th grade are invited to join the SDSU School of Public Health for a summer workshop series! Students will explore the subject of public health and participate in hands-on learning. Workshops will take place from June 15th-June 18th, 2026!

Spring Eggstravaganza

Stop by the Lake Morena Spring Eggstravaganza for a morning filled with arts and crafts, light snacks, a bounce house, and community tables from local groups! Children 12 and under are encouraged to bring their own baskets for the egg hunt.

Native Plant Invasion Garden Work
