Live Well Advance Conference Highlights Change Through Collective Impact
It was an exciting year for milestones, connections and learning at the 2025 Live Well Advance and School Summit.
Nearly 2,000 people attended, where 75 partner organization booths and 39 breakout sessions provided attendees with countless opportunities to network and share best practices.

Deadline Extended! Scoop From You(th) Challenge – Piece of Mind
The County of San Diego HHSA invites youth and young adults (ages 12–25) to join the 2025 Scoop From You(th) Challenge: "Piece of Mind." Use art to express emotions, boost self-esteem, and support mental wellness. Submit art, poetry, music, film, photography, and more.
Submission deadline has been extended to November 21st.

NEW! Health Consumer Alliance (HCA) Medi-Cal Changes for Adult Immigrants in 2026 and 2027
Good News: Medi-Cal is NOT changing for many people! These people can keep Medi-Cal with dental and no premiums, regardless of immigration status:

Current and former foster youth (under 26 years old)

Pregnant and post-pregnancy people (up to one year after the end of pregnancy)

NEW! Participate in Upcoming Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Input Session
Behavioral Health Services (BHS) invites community members to virtual input sessions this November and December 2025 to help shape the BHSA Integrated Plan for FY 2026–2029. These Zoom sessions, offered morning and evening, will gather public feedback to guide mental health and substance use priorities and investments in San Diego County.

Are you turning 65? Do you have Medicare questions?
JAR Insurance offers free assistance to individuals turning 65 who have questions about Medicare. Licensed insurance agents are available to help with enrollment, understanding Parts A, B, C, and D, avoiding penalties, and meeting important deadlines. Services are provided at no additional cost. Support is also available in Spanish.

Join Navigating Change!
Navigating Change helps youth (ages 16–22) with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and their families with guidance through the transition to adulthood. Work 1:1 with a Navigator for ongoing guidance, connection with peers, access to virtual trainings, and help with resources for school, work, housing, and more.

Community Vaccination Services
The County of San Diego contracts with community agencies to provide vaccines and make sure they are available to everyone, no matter their insurance status.
No-cost mobile vaccine services are available for community vaccine events, school-located vaccine events, and in-home vaccinations for those who qualify.
