Join the Upcoming Youth-Led Town Hall

Join us for the first Youth-Led Town Hall of 2025, AI’m Informed - Youth Shaping The Digital-Sphere, as we dive into the timely topic of social media and AI and how these technologies are shaping the way we connect, learn, and lead. This event will feature interactive discussions with experts, community insights, and youth perspectives on navigating the digital world responsibly and creatively. Register for the Town Hall, which will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 2:00 - 3:30 PM on Zoom. This event is created by youth, for youth — and all ages are invited to join!

Check Your Mood

Check Your Mood is an annual event to promote and raise awareness of mental health topics through the observance of National Depression Screening Day and Mental Illness Awareness Week, in October, and year-round. You can get involved by completing and sharing the online Check Your Mood screening, and taking part in the social media campaign to promote mental health awareness.

The Evolving State of Public Health Webinar

Join the California Medical Association on Tuesday, October 28, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm for a special session about The Evolving State of Public Health: Vaccines, Advisory Groups, and Other Emerging Issues. Join to learn more about federal changes in public health and California's recommendations, from the California Department of Public Health Director and Assistant Public Health Officer for Population Health.

In alignment with the California Department of Public Health, the County of San Diego remains committed to ensuring residents continue to have access to safe and effective vaccines that are based on credible, transparent, and science-based evidence. Community Vaccination Services

To increase access to vaccines, the County of San Diego contracts with community agencies to provide vaccination services in the community. Your school or organization can request vaccination services by HHSA Region. See the HHSA Regional Boundaries to identify which region you're located in. You can reach out to the following partners the next time you want to bring vaccination services to your school or event:

North Coastal and North Inland Regions: Visit TrueCare or email vaccineevents@truecare.org.

North Central and East Regions: Visit DocGo or email SanDiegoVaxTeam@docgo.com.

Central and South Regions: Visit San Ysidro Health or email CommunityVaxxRequest@SYHealth.org.

Bridging Differences in Higher Education

Join the Greater Good Science Center for Bridging Differences in Higher Education: Research-Based Practices that Build Belonging, a series of six skill-sharing sessions for the 2025-2026 academic school year. Each session will spotlight practical, replicable strategies to build belonging. The first session focused on countering stereotypes and cultivating empathy across the urban-rural divide.

Join one of these free, bilingual, financial aid webinars to learn how to complete the FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application. The Spanish Session will be on Thursday, November 6, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM, and the English Session will be on Thursday, November 13, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Join to learn about the applications, key dates, what families need to prepare, and what happens after you submit.
