 Kitchens for Good Microenterprise (ME) Program
Kitchens for Good’s ME program accepts early-stage food entrepreneurs in San Diego, focusing on those who have experienced barriers to accessing the resources and support needed to start their small business, including:
- Catering Businesses: Entrepreneurs who specialize in preparing meals for gatherings and social functions.
- Food Product Developers: Makers who create packaged product lines such as jams, hot sauce, candies, frozen empanadas, and more.
- Food Vendors: Small business owners who sell ready-to-eat foods at farmers markets, street fairs, pop-ups, or food trucks.

The Smart & Final Charitable Foundation strives to give back to and nourish communities served in California, Arizona and Nevada through the Pillars of Focus:

 CA Advanced Services Fund: Broadband Adoption Account
The California Advanced Services Fund Broadband Adoption Account provides grants that will increase publicly available or after-school broadband access and digital inclusion, such as grants for digital literacy training programs and public education to communities with limited broadband adoption.
The California Public Utilities Commission will give preference to programs and projects in communities with demonstrated low broadband access, including low-income communities, senior citizen communities, and communities facing socioeconomic barriers to broadband adoption.

 CERRI Program
Community Energy Reliability and Resilience Investment (CERRI) Program is designed to provide competitive grant funding for grid-hardening and grid resilience projects that strengthen and modernize California’s power grid against wildfires, extreme weather, and other natural disasters.
The intent of this grant funding opportunity is to invest in projects that increase the electric reliability and resiliency of communities in California by reducing outage frequency, duration, magnitude, and associated community impacts, while bolstering California’s workforce.

Humanities for All Quick Grants
Humanities for All is a grant program that supports locally initiated public humanities projects. This program responds to the needs and interests of Californians, encourages greater public participation in humanities programming, particularly by new and/or underserved audiences. It aims to promote understanding and empathy among the state’s peoples in order to cultivate a thriving democracy.
Funding amount: Between $1,000 and $5,000

Greenhouse Gas Reduction Loan Program
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Loan Program provides funds to support new or expanded organics infrastructure, such as composting and anaerobic digestion facilities, as well as for facilities that manufacture fiber, plastic, or glass waste materials into beneficial products.
