 Is your business considering expanding outside of the state, or in need of assistance relocating or retaining jobs in California over the next five years? You may be eligible for up to $215 million in California Competes Tax Credits from the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz). Applications for this last round will be accepted from February 24 to March 10.* GO-Biz bases awards on several factors relative to the State of California, including:
- Number of jobs created or retained
- Anticipated amount of new capital investments
- Overall economic benefit
- Opportunities for future growth and expansion
- Tax credit's influence on relocating jobs from states that have enacted laws that permit discrimination, or interfere with reproductive rights
*Note: This is the final application period for the California Competes Tax Credit for fiscal year 2024-2025.

 FAST 2.0 – Fast and Available Charging for All Californians
The California Energy Commission’s Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $10,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will deploy fast electric vehicle charging infrastructure for the public. The program plays an important role in achieving California’s ambitious goals on climate change, petroleum reduction, and adoption of zero-emission vehicles, as well as efforts to reach air quality standards. The program also supports the state’s sustainable, long-term economic development.
Applications must include a minimum 50 percent total match share for this opportunity.
Eligible Applicants: Business, Individual, Nonprofit, Other Legal Entity, Public Agency, Tribal Government

HOME Investment Partnerships Program – Non-Tribal Applicants
The HOME Program is a federal formula grant program that provides annual allocations to states to increase and preserve the supply of decent, safe, and sanitary affordable housing specifically for serving low-income and very low-income households.
With this funding, the Department will award HOME funds to eligible non-Tribal applicants on a competitive basis, and to Tribal applicants on an over-the-counter basis, in the form of loans/grants to fund a wide range of activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent or homeownership or providing direct rental assistance.

Farm to Community Food Hubs Grant Program
California Department of Food and Agriculture's Farm to Community Food Hubs Program has up to $13.75 million available to award. Funding planning and food aggregation and distribution infrastructure for community food hubs to increase purchasing of local, environmentally sustainable, climate smart, and equitably produced food by schools and other institutions to build a better food system economy, support the local farming and Indigenous food production economies, accelerate climate adaptation, and employ food system workers with fair wages and working conditions.
Eligible Geographies: Applicants must be based and operating in California. Projects must only purchase and sell California grown or produced food.

 Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program in CA
The Community Facilities Direct Loan and Grant program provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. An essential community facility is defined as a facility that provides an essential service to the local community for the orderly development of the community in a primarily rural area, and does not include private, commercial or business undertakings.
Eligible areas: Rural areas including cities, villages, townships and towns including Federally Recognized Tribal Lands with no more than 20,000 residents according to the latest U.S. Census Data are eligible for this program.

Humanities for All Quick Grants
Humanities for All is a grant program that supports locally initiated public humanities projects. This program responds to the needs and interests of Californians, encourages greater public participation in humanities programming, particularly by new and/or underserved audiences. It aims to promote understanding and empathy among the state’s peoples in order to cultivate a thriving democracy.
Funding amount: Between $1,000 and $5,000

Greenhouse Gas Reduction Loan Program
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Loan Program provides funds to support new or expanded organics infrastructure, such as composting and anaerobic digestion facilities, as well as for facilities that manufacture fiber, plastic, or glass waste materials into beneficial products.
