YOUTH SECTOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

land and lenses apprenticeship program app

Land + Lenses Apprenticeship

During Outside the Lens's Land + Lenses program, paid apprentices will participate in program development and art-based activities to build meaningful connections with the Otay Valley Regional Park. This opportunity is open to youth ages 14-24 and will require a 100-hour commitment! View the application to see the full list of requirements.

STEAM Design Contest

K-12 students from San Diego County are invited to submit designs and have their artwork featured at the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering taking place on March 1, 2025!

Designs are due on January 15, 2025.

2025-2026 FAFSA Application Now Open

The 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Application is now available! Complete the form to apply for aid for college, career school, or graduate school.

For most California financial aid programs, submit an application no later than March 3, 2025.

Hope & Justice Monthly Art Prompt

Hope & Justice's Monthly Art Prompt for December/January is "Music and Mental Health." Create a short music video, write song lyrics, choreograph a dance, or create a visual art piece related to the topic!

Original music submitted for this prompt will be considered for a performance at a red-carpet award ceremony in May 2025!
