Calling All Artists!
Artists of all ages are invited to submit their original artwork celebrating the conference theme "Ripples of Change: The Power of Partnerships." Top entries will be selected for display during the Live Well Advance Conference & School Summit! Submissions are due by October 20. Learn more about the Poster Art Contest and submit your work!

Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests
As of late September 2024, households in the US are eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests from the US Postal Service. While the tests may show "expired" dates on the box, the FDA has extended the expiration dates of the tests being distributed. Please share the ordering link with your school community to encourage students to prepare for respiratory virus season.

College Assistance Migrant Program
The Office of Migrant Education is currently accepting applications for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). CAMP projects assist students who are migratory or seasonal farmworkers (or immediate family members of such workers) enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies at an IHE. The Department of Education estimates that awards will be from $180,000-$475,000, with an estimated 11 projects receiving awards. Applications are due by November 13, 2024.

Live Well Career Prep Series: Vocational and Trade Positions
The Live Well Career Prep Series is hosting a career panel on vocational and trade positions at the County on Tuesday, October 29, from 3:30 - 5:15 pm at Once Safe Place in San Marcos. The panel will feature professionals from Parks and Recreation, Planning and Development Services, the Sheriff's Office, and Public Works! Lift Up Literacy Book Drive
Now through October 31, San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) is partnering with San Diego County Library to collect new or gently used books for the Lift Up Literacy Book Drive. Members and non-members can stop by any San Diego County SDCCU branch location to donate books in the designated bins.
